Sibiu, Romania. Monday 22 July  -  Once again Sibiu City came alive with the colourful flags of 64 nations being waved from the motorcycles of hundreds of competitors as they navigated their way through the city centre, passing onlookers of every genre led by the Romaniacs founder, Martin Freinademetz and Prolog guru Andy Fazekas. After passing through the historical monuments and town centre offering spectacular photo and video opportunities, the convoy then descended upon the  Bulevardul Coposu where the 2024 Prolog lay stretched out in front of them.

2024 Nations Parade.

The man made obstacle course stretches 350 metres along the boulevard with the total loop distance being 700 metres. The track comprises around eighty tons of logs and eighty tons of big rocks, there are a whopping twenty two obstacles compared to seven in the twentieth edition last year. This longer Prolog will be relentless, showing no mercy between obstacles, it is one after the other which will be the toughest challenge for competitors.

In front of amateur competitors,  press, media and some loyal, enthusiastic fans the Gold competitors demonstrated a test run of this years Prolog; the DEMOmaniacs, giving them a feel for the obstacles and a sense of the flow as well as allowing Andy Fazekas and his team to assess their work.

The Gold competitors took to the obstacles as if they'd been here before, riding relatively smoothly over each obstacle but the sheer number took some by surprise. Amateur competitors lined the Prolog trying to catch any hints or tips to help them with their own tactics when their turn comes.

The press conference was well attended with enduro media from around the world. Martin Freinademetz introduced selected competitors who later attended a public Meet and Greet which was extended due to such a high turnout of fans. The weather was sunny and in the high 20’s.
