Nations city ride, 2022

The '55 Nations city ride" is one of the largest gatherings of the hard enduro community in the world. This colourful motorcycle parade kicks off the opening ceremony of Red Bull Romaniacs and will see the historical Sibiu city centre come to life with high spirited competitors carrying their nations flag on their motorcycles lead by founder and organiser, Martin Freinademetz and Prolog director, Andy Fazekas.

Competitors from 55 nations will ride their motorcycles adjacent to some of the most iconic landmarks of this mediaeval European cultural capital. Passing under the Bridge of Lies, through Piata Mica square under the Tower of the Council into the Piata Mare square and onto the Bulevardul Coposu. This will provide outstanding and unique backdrops for photography and videography opportunities.

The 'Nations city ride' will descend upon the site of the In-city Prolog where the DEMOmaniacs obstacle testing will take place.

Aptly named the DEMOmaniacs, refers to the Gold class 'Romaniacs' who will lap the Prolog for fifteen minutes to test its flow and difficulty, while making mental notes of the best line choices in preparation for the real thing. If necessary they will give feedback to Andy Fazekas on the Prolog track.

DEMOmaniacs is a bonus opportunity for press and media to capture their first images up close. Following a competitors presentation with Martin Freinademetz there will be a media and public meet, greet and autograph session with the world famous competitors which will bring the opening ceremony to a close.

In true 'go big or go home' Romaniacs fashion the tough will get tougher in front of thousands of spectators and global online fans via the the daily 2023 ONLINE LIVEstreaming

The renowned Red Bull Romaniacs hill climb finish

In 2009 Andy Fazekas built and organised the first motorcycle hill climbing competition in Romania with his motorcycle club, the Crazy Bike Club. It was located at the Gusterita hill climb site and Martin Freinademetz was even a competitor at the event. The idea of including a hill climb in the Red Bull Romaniacs stemmed from this competition. Previously the finishing arch was situated in some 'interesting' locations for example; on top of industrial buildings, on a rooftop and in the city centre, but both Martin and Andy realised the great potential of the hillclimb site as the perfect arena for spectators and a smorgasbord of tricky sections and chicken lines to incorporate into the final tracks, bringing a crowd pleasing end to the 5 day rallye. It was the ideal venue and competitors would be greeted by thousands of cheering fans as they achieved their goal of reaching the finish of Red Bull Romaniacs.
